Hey, there's a new Tarzan movie out now, "The Legend of Tarzan," and it's supposed to be pretty good!  I'll go catch the matinee this afternoon.

Saturday afternoons when I was a kid, the local TV station ran all the MGM Tarzan movies between seemingly interminable car dealer commercials with the screaming Yahoo dashing down the lot drawing prices on the car windshields.

Surprisingly, I never read the original Edgar Rice Burroughs books until I was in my late thirties.  I read the first four, and then sort of lost interest before our hero started going to lost civilizations and all that.

And yes, not to ruin the joke, but the reason Tarzan didn't have a beard is that he used his knife (which compensating tool and a loincloth he, er, acquired from a hapless passing native as a young ape-man) to shave because he'd discovered he was a different animal than his simian companions and wanted to accentuate the difference!   You can never know too much trivia, it could win you money on TV or free drinks.

There have been, of course, a world of Tarzan illustrators since the early 1900's, and my favorites include Frank Frazetta--

--Burne Hogarth

--and Joe Kubert!

Bob Lubbers drew a nice scene for the newspaper strip--

--And I'll rerun my version for any of you who haven't seen it, or maybe would like to snicker at it again!

See ya later, swingers!!

It seems like such a natural thing to do that I'm surprised we don't see more of it in spanking pictures, videos, and cartoons-- the Spankee trying to block the Spanker's hand to prevent or modify her seat-searing!

Of course, this is usually a token resistance;  you can tell when the ladies are less than serious about fending off the swats--

even during a semi-serious spanking for this stowaway from her sailor!

The girls will often giggle in movie publicity photos meant to show how fun and frisky this film might be!

That's young Joan Crawford giggling at James Murray's efforts for 1928's "Rose Marie!" Maybe he would have had a different reaction if he'd used a wire hanger?

Here's maestro Al Siegel instructing protegee Connie Russell in 1940 during the rehearsals for "Unholy Partners!"

And to promote the fluffy Bing Crosby picture "College Humor" in 1933, Jack Oakie put Mary Kornman over his lap!  She looks a little more concerned about it.

Naturally, if the gal is playing a role, she'll want to evoke the audience's suspension of disbelief and make them wonder about her hiney!

Like Lucy--

-- and Erica!

Speaking of Rich Windsor, I do believe some of those earlier depictions of domestic discipline and birthday frivolity were derived from his blog!  Thanks, Rich!

Here's Lily Anna trying unsuccessfully to stop David Pierson's handprints reddening her lovely fanny!

These are talented women, because like I said, making these protests convincing is a hard sell!

Spankees in the audience will likely quote Hamlet's mom Queen Gertrude, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

"No, No, a thousand times, No!"

One of the first "D&D" WolfieToons had a redhead worried about her delicate skin with her swimsuit bottom down--

And in a later 'toon, the young lady was not worried enough, until her fella took a hand and Uncle Albert suffered some kind of minor apoplexy:

Take care, now, and remember, in all important matters, C.Y.A.!

I'm not much of a sports fan, but I did notice the PGA has its Open Championship going on, and while you wouldn't think a game in which the winner has the leastamount of strokes would inspire me, I have done golf-related cartoons.  Like so:

Here's the original sketch for that-- you can see I decided the guy should be a lefty.

And while we're in Scotland, let's stop off at that magical, mystical place--

Erica's 2016 Birthday Cartoon and More!

The third week of September brings Erica Scott's birthday!  She and John and a lot of others had gone to the Shadow Lane Party in Las Vegas earlier, and you can read all about it here! It inspired this cartoon:

Now, I did have a Particular Person in mind when I drew that Spanker, but it's an unsuccessful caricature, so let's just say he's your Generic Las Vegas Spanking Performer, eh, what?

Hey. speaking of spanking in cartoons, let me share a website with ya-- one that's new to me,and that I've really enjoyed perusing!

Ya wanna see Buzz Sawyer, Popeye, the Phantom, Superman, Roy Rogers, Husbands and Lovers and a whole buncha others tip deserving ladies over their knees and spank their cute and curvy brush-drawn bottoms?

Have you seen single panels from newspaper comic strips of old around the web and wondered what was the goldang context?

Well, click these blue letters and head on over to SPK Comics!

Now the force behind this fun page includes all sorts of spankings, even the ones intended to be funny but not really erotic.  However, you might enjoy the nostalgia, remembering the Sunday mornings a long time ago, sprawled out on the floor with the funny pages, and having something click in your brain when seeing Little Iodine getting her pantaloons pummeled again. And again.

But there are lots of things in the collection, like this:

So, enjoy the view!

I suppose there may be SOMEONE who hasn't already seen these Halloween WolfieToons... and I'll add some items for the rest of you!

Didja ever see "The Black Cat" from 1934?

Ya should!  Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi at their best, a nice, weird story,  all very entertaining!

Plus when the hero and heroine make their dashing escape at the climax, her dress flies up for a split second panty shot, snicker!!

The original "Poltergeist" is a lot of fun--

but you know what made the biggest impression on me the first time I saw it?

All the cute bottom shots!!

That's supposed to be horrifying ghost-rape, but I just couldn't buy into it.  I just saw JoBeth jumping up and down on the bed in down-home-but-sexy-to-me night wear.  And then she went rolling across the wall and ceiling like Fred Astaire in that MGM musical.

Anyway, be sure to brush your teeth after all that candy!

Or else!!

A Late Edit!!

Lady Larken "hinted" that I had forgotten to include this time around one of her favorite Frankenstein Halloween cartoons -- so here 'tis!

Unearthed WolfieToons

And maybe I should leave 'em buried, but what the hey.

My first on-line cartoons appeared at a long-gone Yahoo Group website called "Arild's Movie Spanking." I don't know why, because as Phil "Overbarrel" says, it almost never had anything to do with the movies.  We displayed our spanking cartoons and those we'd found around the then fairly new Internet.  I gave more details and examples of all that at THIS POST, which for a while was the most-seen WolfieBlog entry, according to the stats page.

Anyway, I found a couple of 'toons that hadn't been seen since that website's long-ago demise, and thought they might be entertaining here.  I've certainly done better work, but there's still something appealing in these.

First is a sequel I'd forgotten!

You may have seen this birthday party spanking,

and the finished  version,

but what happened then?  Why, someone else got involved in the fun and warmed some more buns!!

This is not the same couple, but they have the same attitude:

Once I had a notion to do a comic strip featuring all the spankings a woman got over the course of her birthday, from everyone at home, at the office, and elsewhere.  I never took on the project, but I did do the "Karen Series."

Speaking of memories,

Shh, that wasn't a song cue.  Speaking of memories, here's a young lady getting her first grown-up bare bottom spanking sometime in the Seventies!

And a courting couple,on the court!

I'd drawn better tennis rackets, or even racquets, after that, but the sound effect stays the same!

This cartoon has been here before, called "Grace,"

But Grace had a friend whose spouse couldn't wait until after services.  Maybe it was before, to ensure proper decorum.

Especially because there only seems to be one pew in the whole danged place!

These next three have been up before.  And speaking of being up, this little sketch is cute and arousing:

Don't forget to remember.

This was a Bennett Cerf joke from one of his early Sixties collections, applied to an adult context, with really quick and sloppy perspective.

And finally, two that seem to be huge favorites around the Web.  My Blondie pastiche--

And Tink's tiny tush getting cracked by the Cricket:

I don't know why I put her in green panties.  She usually wears yellow.

Well, some day I'm going to do another version of that scene, and maybe she won't have any on at all!

By the way, here's a link to a previous WolfieBlog entry about the woman who helped create this animated pixie's personality, the model for Disney animator  Marc Davis and company, MARGARET KERRY!

Hope you enjoyed these!

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Better cartoonists than I have done holiday reruns, and there might be someone strolling by who hasn't seen all of these, and so--

The balloons in the Macy's T-Day Parade have always been a hit, even when the balloons themselves were, oh, somebody's first attempt--

They got better!

And so I thought, there oughta be a Wolfie B'lloon!!

Meanwhile, back in the kitchen:

Of course, a lot of folks go in for non-traditional celebrations, too.

But some people like things a certain way:

So I hope that somehow, someway you have an outstanding day!

Duck Ruckus!

Professional performers of stage and screen respect the time and efforts of everyone involved in a production. and behave accordingly.  However. once in a while, someone somewhat self-involved might forget that and cause a ruckus.

Such a lapse might need to be cured over laps.

Say!  You don't suppose Ms Duck might have engineered that scene after all??

The last three years have been very hard on me, with a lot of grief, and a lot of transitions.

I've never done a blog like Erica Scott;  my purpose here has always been recreational, therapeutic, and occasionally commercial.  I don't mind sharing personal info if anyone asks, but it hasn't been the focus.

But not to create a mystery, last week my mother died, in her home, surrounded by all four of her kids, a bunch of her grandkids, and even a great-baby-grandson.  It was very quiet, very peaceful, and certainly spared her any further sad ravages from galloping dementia.  Since my father died after a debilitating stroke over a year and a half ago, my brother and I have taken turns caring for Mom, with a qualified caregiver while we were at our weekday jobs.

My own sense of humor is largely inherited;  both nature and nurture at work there.  My folks always enjoyed my "vanilla" cartoons, including some book covers and mugs and whatnot, but. although they were not entirely cream-flavored themselves, I doubted they would fully appreciate my Nom-De-Web WolfieToons, and chose to keep all this "private." Elsewhere in the family, my sister knows I've done "racy" cartoons, and has no desire for any further information, preferring my General Audience Stuff.  At least one of my sons knows all about my lupine art activity, but it's not really his thing.

So there you have more personal Wolfiemation than has ever been here, I think, and probably more than most folks really want to know.

The for-pay story website "Discipline & Desire" disappeared a while back.  My apologies for Links To Nowhere that show up all over this blog, but I'm sure as the moon-rise not going to go through and cut all them all out.  Wowsers, what a time-consuming and feckless task that would be!

Anyway, I've been considering what to do with my spanking cartoons, new and old, for fun and perhaps a little profit, and have been looking at publishing them in a cheap-to-get volume.  Maybe an e-book.  Maybe both?  The devil is in the details.

Larken wants-- very badly-- a Wolfie Cocoa Mug.  I wonder if anyone would wear a WolfieToon T-Shirt to bed?  Wouldn't that be so darn cute?!

Meanwhile...

Here is my favorite of the new cartoons, so far seen by only five, maybe six people.  I hope you enjoy it, and I'll keep you up-to-date on future developments!
