So here's Tex Avery's Junior giving my ex-wife a bear bottom-spanking.

(Now, just so there's no misunderstanding, this is all for laughs, there is no animosity at all between my former spouse and me!

Could she use a nice spanking?  Well, sure, I think so.  Maybe she's had one, or a few.

She did say once, "That's your fantasy, not mine!" but then again, she also whispered in my ear once, "Ooh, you're right, that IS arousing!" And I had hard evidence that she did enjoy being over my lap from time to time.  She certainly enjoyed doing it to get me all hot and bothered!)

More Mermaid Tails

Quoting poet Ogden Nash again

"Say not the mermaid is a myth
I knew one once named Mrs. Smith.
She stood while playing cards or knitting;
Mermaids are not equipped for sitting."

Not to be pugnacious, but aren't all mermaids "myths?" Otherwise they'd be mermen.

Anyway, I'd done a bit about these fabulous creatures of lore before, but it's worth a revisit!  After all, they've been favorites for thousands of years, with any number of fine depictions-- like the marvelous one Glynis Johns did as the title character of "Miranda" in 1948!

You can catch that flick on YouTube, by the way, and I recommend you do.  Kaki might tell you Glynis is really Mrs. Banks, the mom from "Mary Poppins." And that's not wrong.  Funny thing is, "Mr. Banks," AKA David Tomlinson, is in "Miranda," too!

Now, someone told me once that the story of  the mermaid began when some ancient sailors, far too long at sea, mistook a manatee for a half-woman, half-fish.

Jeezus, those guys weren't just horny, they were terminally inflamed,

Well, I don't think I believe that particular explanation.  Denizens of Faerie are separate from the natural world, whatever Animal Planet might try to tell you late at night.  .

Now, as to Mr. Nash's observation that mermaids have no hineys, that's been long argued, too!

Maybe one reason for this is not every guy is a Boob Man.

And a couple of us would like to solve the puzzle of how to spank a mermaid if she were indeed sans booty.

Some people have compromised, depicting mermaids with buttocks only when they take full human form, like Little Ronnie Howard had Daryll Hannah do in "Splash" --

and as the Disney folks did in "The Little Mermaid"

Hey, look, now she can get her can spanked!!

Live-action portrayals, naturally, will have available bottoms.

Here's a cartoon by Russian artist Sveta Shubina that Harry featured in

And here is a ship's sculpture posed just right!

Now I bid you adieu and hope I've entertained and inspired!

A Cartoon Spanking Frenzy? Oaky Doaks!!

You gotta go over to  SPK COMICS and read this Oaky Doaks series!  I'll put the link below.

Yes, that's a version of King Arthur, Merlin the wizard, and Queen Guinevere, who is getting a fine bottom-warming from that Li'L Abner of Camelot, Oaky Doaks!

I never saw Oaky in the papers--it ran from 1935 (nearly two years before "Prince Valiant") until 1961.  It's been praised as genuinely funny, well written by Bill McCleery, and superbly drawn by R.B. Fuller. It featured the adventures of a lunkhead named Oaky who decided on his own to be one of King Arthur's knights, made a suit of armor from his pop's tin shed, and rode off into often anachronistic adventures on their plow horse.

In this particular run, the wicked Morgan le Fay (you heard of her, right?) dopes the dope with what is supposed to be an enslaving love potion, but instead, it turns Oaky into a mild misogynist, and he turns every woman he encounters over his knee.

Not all the women necessarily deserve their spankings-- but some do!

And some--

Now, admittedly there's some 1940's Chauvinism in here, but I think the humor outweighs it.

HERE'S THE LINK!

When you click on the strips, they get nice and big and legible!

So did you have a look at SPK Comics yet?  It's one of the very best collections of comic strip spankings
I've ever seen on the Web-- and it's free!!

There are rare and wonderful things on display there, and you can at last see the full context of individual panels that have been floating around the internet for a long time!  For instance, there's this cartoon--

which I defiled thus--

and thus--

but I never knew from whence it came, and really wanted to!

And Lo!  It came to pass, thanks to SPK Comics!

I knew this L'l Abner drawing from Al Capp

was based on an early episode in the comic strip

]

and had been done for a magazine-- but I hadn't seen the magazine page until now!  Behold!  From LIFE, January 1957!!

Speaking of Li'l Abner, I bet you've seen this:

And here's what was going on!

Years ago, the Spirit had this on his website and in various Yahoo Groups:

And here's its cotext!  It is a less than pristine microfilm copy-- but SPK Comics gets creidit for scouring it out at all!

Here's another:

You can see a much bigger version at SPK Comics!  Things are nicely organized over there, too, with indexes and categories!

So click on over and enjoy!

Well, now it's February!  I was doing other stuff and missed GROUNDHOG DAY here, but if you click on those big blue letters, you can see last year's Chuck Wood entry!

Meanwhile, there's another happy annual event I can take part in, thus:

All year long these pages celebrate our favorite sport

but in this short month while the cold still lingers, it's really nice to warm up with the anticipatory joy of  the warmth ahead

with fun for all ages

when we will once again dom swimwear-- er, don swimwear for the back yard,

or the beach

or Uncle Ned's pool!

Everyone will have a grand time!

I saw those two when the Interwebs were new, and still don't know who they are!  Maybe you know?  I think the girl in white might be an insurance agent.  She seems to have better coverage, HAR!!

So stave off the chill, think warm, happy thoughts!!

Once upon a time. there was a certain Victoria's Secret Model who made the eye-rolling remark, "No woman likes her butt, and I don't like mine."

Instagram and Pinterest and other options for posting "Butt Selfies" have pretty much put the lie to that ass-ertion.  There are obviously LOTS of women who love their behinds, especially when displayed in Yoga Pants!

And, of course, WE love their spankable and curvy, delectably displayed buns,  too!

Here's An Idea!

Cartoonists sometimes think alike, and it's fun to see the results!

For example, I did this guy chasing his wife around--

And a few years later I saw a remarkably similar drawing, except there's no bathbrush in sight. Oh, and sorry, but I don't have the information about it now, who did it or for what--

One Halloween, lovely and witty Larken wrote this gag for me--

and recently I saw an old Playboy cartoon with a similar theme!

And my pal NIK ZULA did this wonderful wolf girl OTK!

While we're in Monster Mode, here's Lyndal Ferguson's cartoon with the Creature From the Black Lagoon attending to a miscreant!

On a parallel track, I also had Blacky LaGoon punish Julie for Sign Disregardation!

Here's a WolfieToon from 2009 with a pretty funny idea, although I'm not so sure how well it was executed now.

Anyway, that bit of classic comedy also occurred to Nik!  I think his 'toon is livelier

When I did THIS POST I didn't know Nik had done a mermaid getting her tail spanked, too!  Here 'tis!

And I'll rerun my mermaid from a few posts back!

Speaking of Sea Creatures, the idea of eight slappy arms is irresistible to us!

The Warner Bros Gang had an octopus smack Porky Pig in the 1936 cartoon "Fish Tales"--

But I bet you'll find Nik's and Wolfie's 'toons sexier!!

And there are animals with other appendages good for spanking, too!

Mrs. Jumbo paddled the miscreant picking on her son in "Dumbo"--

But, again--

I like Nik's added political take!

If I think of some more later, you'll see 'em!

Say, do you remember the first time you saw someoneout in publicin their pajamas?!

Right there in front of Zeus and everyone?!

Now, I personally love cute pajama bottoms that make cute bottoms even cuter! Like--

Nicole Kidman!

Jenna Coleman!

Kate Upton!

Charity Wakefield!

--just ass examples.

(Oh, sorry "just AS examples. " Damn keyboard, it's always causing typos.

Anyway, PJs are soft and comfortable and fun at parties

and make really sexy spanking attire!!

Butt (Oops, there it goes again!  Bloody electronics) BUT, should they be worn outside the house?

Well, Larken (you remember her!) says, as far as appearing in public goes, there's very little difference between sweat pants, yoga pants, and pajama pants.

(They all can sure make me pant!)

So, let's see:

Sweatpants.

Yoga pants.

Pajama pants.

Okay, well,see a difference.

Yes, all right, that example might be a bit silly.

I think one might at least pretend to have an objection to PJs in Public, thereby making this WolfieToon possible!!
